The Nobel Prize in Chemistry & Physics 2026 will be announced on 6 & 7 October. Let's unpack it together for a Friday lunch.
What was the discovery? Why does it matter? And what does it tell us about where science is heading?
Join us for a lunchtime conversation about the 2026 Nobel Prize in Chemistry & Physics, explained without the jargon. You don’t need to be a chemist – bring your curiosity.
Heiner Linke, Professor of Nanophysics at Lund University and Chair of the Nobel Committee for Chemistry,
Stefan Kröll, Professor of Atomic Physics Lund University, Member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and Member of the Nobel Committee on Physics
will take us behind the prizes: the research, the discovery and the process that led to this year’s award.
The conversation will be moderated by Anna Sjöström Douagi, recently appointed CEO of Science Village Scandinavia. Anna previously served as Head of Nobel Prize Outreach and has held several senior positions within the Nobel Foundation, the Swedish Research Council and is a member of The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
Lunch is on us. Places are limited.
Come curious. Ask questions. Leave with a better understanding of this year’s Nobel Prizes.
